The younger parts of you have so much to share. Reparenting work can go easy and quickly or be a slow process that takes years. Some people can do this work on their own. Others have to have therapists, counselors, or trained coaches to help guide them. All the ways to reparent are good - find the way or person who feels safest to you.
My apologies for the slight delay to this post. We are currently driving 4-hours round trip once a week for specialized adoption/trauma/grief therapy for my son. It leaves the family very exhausted. But, I feel rested now and am happy to bring you Type 4 Reparenting today!
Meeting a younger version or part of yourself can be exhilarating and overwhelming. It can feel sad and lonely. It can be so incredibly comforting. It can be freeing and heavy all at once. These emotions are normal. Allow them to coexist.

Many times, our younger selves took on roles to protect us, roles that might have been too “grown up” for them at the time. Now there is distress and pain. Meeting these parts with love and thanks is the first step in healing. You long to be loved and known…and so do your younger parts.
